[3:53] Lord, we believe in what You have revealed, and we follow the Messenger; inscribe us therefore with those who bear witness.
As for those who remained behind, they worked for discord and their enmity increased. They plotted deceptions for him and schemed, but God made them taste the evil of their scheming. They imaged that they crucified Jesus (ʿa) and killed him but that was from their ignorance and confusion. God (s) raised Jesus (ʿa) as His prophet and friend (walī). Banishment and cursing are appropriate for His enemies. This was His scheming with them: And they schemed; and God schemed; and God is the best of schemers [3:54].
