وَلَمَّا سُقِطَ فِيۤ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَرَأَوْاْ أَنَّهُمْ قَدْ ضَلُّواْ قَالُواْ لَئِن لَّمْ يَرْحَمْنَا رَبُّنَا وَيَغْفِرْ لَنَا لَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلْخَاسِرِينَ
١٤٩
-Al-A‘râf ( الأعراف )

Tafsir al-Tustari

And when they became at a loss... He [Sahl] said:That is, they regretted [what they had done]. You say that ‘it falls into a person’s hands’ when he regrets something.His words, Exalted is He:
