[they say,] 'Why have you not chosen one?', that is, 'Why do you not summon it from your own self?'. Say: 'I follow only that which is revealed to me from my Lord, in other words, I do not create anything of my own doing, but simply communicate on behalf of God and I do not say except that which is revealed to me from Him, because I subsist through Him and not through my own soul.
